• Candy. Although not all candy is toxic to your pets, it is still not a good idea for them to consume these sweet treats. Candies or foods that contain the ingredient Xylitol, a sugar substitute found in many sweet treats, are toxic our furry friends.
• Raisins or grapes. While it may seem like a healthful snack for your pet, they are known to be harmful especially for a dog’s kidney.
• Onions and garlic can prove to be poisonous to pets, especially in large amounts. Be aware of this if you are cooking and discard a hunk of either into the trash. Once your pet sniffs it out, it can be eaten in seconds without you knowing.
