Did you know September is cat month? Created by the CATalyst Council, cat month serves as an opportunity to educate the general public about the needs and welfare of cats. Celebrate cat month by bringing your feline friend to our Laguna Hills veterinarian to discuss any health concerns you have for your cat, or simply for a yearly checkup.
Many people think of cats as aloof, independent creatures who do not require much in the areas of enrichment and socialization. Cat month strives to educate people about the value of companion cats, and provide cat owners with ways that they can contribute to their cat's socialization and well-being. Cat month will teach cat owners how to engage with their cat that is stimulating and keeps the cat from engaging in destructive boredom activities. Many veterinarians use this month to educate cat owners about proper cat care.
For each week of cat month, the CATalyst Council offers education and insights via their social media accounts on how to best care for your cat. The first week of September is Happy Healthy Cat, the second is Enriched Cat, the third is Happy Multi-Cat, and the fourth is Happy Valued Cat. Each of these weeks will provide cat owners with tips and tricks on how to make sure their cat is living a happy, healthy life. Cat owners can also ask the CATalyst Council questions about how to best care for their cats via their social media comments.
As a cat owner, you know the importance of putting your cat's health care first. Celebrate cat month by cooking a check-up appointment with our Laguna Hills veterinarian, Dr. Kerolos, at Trinity Pet Hospital by calling 949-768-1314. Dr. Kerolos will work with you to develop a health plan to keep your kitty healthy and happy.
